Puttery Miami entrance mural in Wynwood Walls, which is a place for indoor mini golf Miami, great for anyone 21+.

Indoor activities are welcomed in a city as hot as Miami, and this is where Puttery Miami comes in. This indoor mini golf spot is located in the Wynwood Walls area, featuring three immersive mini golf courses, craft cocktails and great food, which makes for the perfect date or outing with friends. Personally I love all three of those things, specifically any game bar, so I had to make sure to visit this spot during my last trip to Miami. This is my honest Puttery Miami review with photos, which by the way I’m not being paid to write!

Puttery Miami Review : Quick Summary

Puttery Miami in the Wynwood Walls area of Miami and is a newer indoor mini golf course for 21+ only that focuses on immersive and themed holes, while offering great service for cocktails throughout your game, as well as food options in the lounge. The atmosphere feels lively, especially in the evening time. It isn’t nearly as crazy as some of the other Miami nightlife spots, but they do play music and the intricate decor and immersive features. I found it to be reasonably priced with the all you can golf ticket, didn’t take a huge time commitment, has excellent mini golf courses that vary in difficulty and has food that is delicious, all with great service.

The space is very large and spread out, but if you’d like to avoid the crowds, avoid Friday nights, Saturday and Saturday nights if you can. Overall this is a great thing to do in Miami for couples, families or friends looking for a unique and fun activity outside of the typical Miami nightlife scene.

Complete Puttery Miami Review & What to Expect

Playing mini golf with a cocktail in hand will make you feel like a kid again and that’s what Puttery Miami is here for. Puttery has a bunch of different locations throughout the United States, and we’ve been to a few which have all been great for different reasons. Puttery is also the best place to play indoor mini golf Miami, and a great spot for rainy or hot days in Miami.

When to Visit Puttery Miami

When it comes to what day and time to visit Puttery Miami, it’s best to avoid Friday night, Saturday and Saturday night, because the courses will be really crowded during these times. My husband and I have left a few of the different Puttery locations without playing because of how crowded they were on the weekend. If you don’t mind waiting and are looking for more of a vibe to potentially meet people, then those times are great, but otherwise I recommend going either on a weeknight or on Sunday. Sunday afternoon was empty right around the time they opened, which we loved!

Hours: Puttery is typically open from 12:00pm on weekends or 4:00pm on week days, until 12:00 or 1:00am. Make sure to check Puttery Miami’s current hours of operation before visiting to be safe since they change often.

Important Note: You must be 21+ to play.

Parking & Directions

Parking at Puttery Miami ended up being easier than we thought it was going to be. Since it’s in the lively Wynwood Walls area there’s no parking lot, but there was plenty of free and paid street parking on a Sunday afternoon a few streets over. There are also paid parking garages and lots right nearby!

Puttery Tickets

Tickets for Puttery Miami can either be purchased online or at the desk when you arrive, but unless you’re going during the busy days (Friday night, Saturday & Saturday night) there’s no need to reserve your tickets ahead of time. If you do plan on going on the weekend or need to go at a specific time on the weekend, reserve your tickets in advance because certain times do sell out.

The only option for tickets is the Unlimited Play Pass, which is great because it gives you access to all three 9-hole courses which you can play as many times as you’d like.

Delicious Food & Craft Cocktails

When you arrive at Puttery Miami, first you’ll make a stop at the front desk to check in. After you’ll be led into a huge room in the middle of the three courses which serves as the dining area and lounge, which is what makes Puttery so unique! When it comes to mini golf Miami, it’s fitting that one of the best places in the city to play gives you the option to sip cocktails while playing, in an atmosphere that feels more like a nightlife experience than a typical mini golf course.

Now you get to choose whether to grab a drink and a bite to eat, or to jump right into mini golf. There are lots of tables, booths, lounge areas and multiple bars, so there are plenty of places to hangout. We decided to get some food first and then have a cocktail and head to the first course.

Food & cocktail photos that are a part of my Puttery Miami review

We were seated at a table in the dining room area and the service was great. They had a diverse selection of food with lots of good options from appetizers, to salad, pizza and entree items like Mojo Shrimp and Cajun Chicken Alfredo. They even have dessert! In terms of drinks, their cocktail menu has fun themed drinks and also a great beer and wine selection, so there’s something for everyone here. Check out the Puttery menu ahead of time if you’d like at their website.

The drinks and food came out pretty fast and were higher quality than I would have expected. I got the Cajun pasta which was soooo good and didn’t cause me to feel weighted down for the golf thankfully haha. The service was excellent and our waiter always made sure we had what we needed.

Once we were finished eating he offered to serve us drinks on the courses, but we decided to grab drinks at the bar and then take them with us instead.

Once you’re ready to golf, it’s time to choose your course. Head over to one of the three courses to pick up your clubs and balls. But first let’s go over the logistics of the game.

Puttery Scoring System

At Puttery Miami, similar to Puttery Charlotte, there’s an electronic scoring system so you won’t have to hold a scorecard, leaving room in your hand for a cocktail instead. 😉 This was one of my favorite things about Puttery, because the electronic scoring also made it easier to remember to record your score since they have screens at each hole. It was also glitch-free and very fast. It’s great when technology actually works!

The best part of the electronic scoring system is that they have scoreboards up that show you rankings compared to others who have played that course that day, so you can see how you’re measuring up to other players on that course. My husband Greg got 1st (he always does) and I got 7th for one of the courses.

Three 9-Hole Courses

The three courses at Puttery Miami go from easy, to medium to hard in this order: The Lodge, Library, and the Rooftop. Each one has its own theme and we felt like these courses were a little more immersive than the Charlotte location. There is music playing in most of the areas, although the Rooftop had the sound of fake wind blowing which we thought was really cool!

We started with the Lodge, which was definitely the easiest course, although that didn’t stop me from getting a bad score lol, but also had lots of cool props, theming and photo ops.

We have been to multiple other Puttery locations and never been to one of them with a Lodge course, so this was really fun. I didn’t love how much light was streaming in, but I have sensitive eyes and I don’t think it would bother most people. Make sure to get your photo on the ski lift!

The Library 9-hole mini golf course at Puttery Miami

Next up is the Library course. This course is themed as you would expect, with red carpets and holes that are a bit harder. There’s also great photo ops in this course, like under the giant comet falling down on you.

In terms of timing, each course took us about 20-30 minutes. My husband and I both play games pretty often and are very familiar with mini golf, so we may have blown through quicker than most, probably because the courses were very empty when we went also!

The last and hardest course is the Rooftop, which we definitely liked the best! As I said earlier they had fake wind sounds which was a great touch, and really great theming like all of the other courses. This one felt very true to Miami though, with murals and graffiti throughout the course.

Final Words

To wrap up this Puttery Miami review, overall we were both really impressed with the quality of the courses, food and drinks, as well as the service and atmosphere at this Puttery location and mini golf Miami spot.

We liked the variety of difficulty between the three courses, the theming and how immersive each course felt. There was a decent amount of challenging obstacles and elements in the holes as well. This is a great alternative to the hectic Miami scene, and I recommend this to any travelers or locals in the Wynwood Walls area.
