Honor Brewing Company Review : Best Breweries In Northern VA

I still remember when Lost Rhino was one of the only breweries in Northern VA. Now thankfully there’s a bunch, but Honor Brewing Company Loudoun is easily one of my favorites and one I recommend to anyone in the Northern VA area!
Complete Honor Brewing Company Loudoun Review
During a warm and sunny evening in November while the leaves were still changing my husband and I decided to venture out for the first time with our two week old. We were a little nervous about germs but wanted to enjoy the fresh air with her before it got too cold.

With the big outdoor space being less crowded on a weekday Honor Brewing Company Loudoun was the perfect spot. Since writing this initial review I’ve been back to Honor Brewing many times and it’s always great! This is also a very family-friendly spot.
Fun & casual atmosphere with indoor & outdoor areas
Something that not all the breweries in Northern VA have is a great atmosphere, so it’s special that Honor Brewing has one. There are both inside and outside seating areas including a grassy area and covered patio, and during the warm weather days they’ll keep the doors open so parts have an indoor outdoor feel.
In the grassy area there are fire pits that they will turn on free of charge on week nights (as of the time of writing this), or you can reserve them for a small fee on weekends. So fun! I can’t wait to take advantage of this.

There’s also lots of picnic tables and lawn games, and even an outdoor bar. The lawn area isn’t quite as big as some of the others farther out in Leesburg where there’s more open space, so make sure to show up early to secure your spot or come during a week night when they’re less crowded.
In the interior area there are floor to ceiling windows so during the day plenty of light comes in. There’s a big center bar and a bunch of tables, plus a display room where they hold events. There’s also a covered patio that has two floors.
Great beer and lots of other drink options
My favorite part about Honor Brewing is that they have great beer, but also wine, seltzers and cocktails, so you can bring a bigger group without worrying that someone will be unsatisfied.

They even have THC and CBD infused drinks…..! I’ve noticed whenever I have one of these I have a really happy buzz and feel very relaxed. These are really unique to Honor Brewing Company Loudoun and the only other place I’ve seen THC beers served is a brewery in Florida I visited while traveling. So if this sounds fun to you, don’t miss out on these!!
My favorite beer is the Freedom IPA which I stick to every time. If you want to taste a bunch of their beers, get a flight for under $15.

A foodie-approved food menu (not common for breweries!)
Their food menu is actually one of the main reasons that Honor Brewing is one of our go-to’s. They have a really great menu with appetizers, snacks and entrees.

I personally LOVE the brisket dip (omg yum I wish I could have it right now) and the pizza and burgers are other local favorites.
Holiday pop-up bar menu & decorations
Another fun thing you don’t find many places in Northern VA is that they usually do a special Holiday pop-up bar menu for Halloween and Christmas, where you can pay one price to keep the cup your cocktail comes in.

They also have seasonal food sometimes. I haven’t taken advantage of this yet but I definitely want to soon! We did come here during the Christmas season and they had really pretty decorations. Same for Halloween but more outdoors. You can see the giant skeleton over the entrance in the photo above!
Close to some of the other best breweries in Northern VA
If you’re a fan of breweries you can brewery hop in the area right around Honor Brewing Loudoun. Along with Honor Brewing Company Loudoun there’s also Solace Brewing Company literally right across the street, and Ocelot Brewing Company is just down the road.
